with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Chenma

As meditators one of our main jobs is to move past our distractions and discover the natural state of our mind, which is inner peace. These obstructions rob us of our peace of mind and modern technology and convenience has made us more distracted than ever before.
In this series we will learn how we can develop our mind into a peaceful and tranquil state through meditation. When we are able to live our life in this peaceful state we can become present in our activities and hold our attention wherever we choose.

April 6: Distracted Driving - freeing yourself from moving mindlessly through life
April 13: There is a thief in the house! - My distractions are robbing me of my peace of mind
April 20: I can’t stop thinking - How the mind moves
April 27: Finding Stillness and Peace

Life as a Spiritual Adventure

Learn how to touch your heart and move your mind. We often feel we are stagnant, staying the same year after year. In this course, we will see how to have meditation truly shift our thinking so that we change what we wish for, how we see ourselves and the world around us, and how we feel. We do not need to feel stuck-we just simply need to know how to change our mind with meditation. Specifically, we will look out how to use special meditations on loving-kindness. These awaken our heart, make us light and happy, and improve our relationships. There will be plenty of time to explore the art of contemplative meditation and how to work through the various obstacles that arise in a meditation practice.
