MEDITATION
FOR KIDS
Meditation for Kids
10 - 11:15am
Ages 5 - 12
Cost is $5 material fee that covers all children from a family attending the Sunday General Program class.
Our Kids' Program offers opportunities for kids to learn how to develop peaceful & positive states of mind by listening to and applying Buddha’s practical teachings on compassion and wisdom. Each week there is a short meditation, a brief interactive lesson, singing the Liberating Prayer, and a creative activity. We emphasize kindness to others and the cultivation of a happy heart. Parents and/or guardians are welcome to attend class with their child or attend our adult class that's available during the same time.
The class is most appropriate for children ages 5-12. If they wish, older children will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and will be trained and encouraged to help lead the class meditation as well as assist the younger children with their art projects.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, either attending the adult class at the same time or volunteering to assist with the kids class. We would like to ask parents to help assist with class on a schedule to help ensure our classes run well.
Would you like to assist with class?
Email Mr. G at kids@meditationinarizona.org and write "Assist" if you'd like to help out. Thank you so much.
